Abstract

The development of a crane traverse in timber construction should generate advantages in terms of ecology, energy efficiency and costs compared to conventional steel construction. This is to be realized on the basis of renewable materials, in particular wood veneer composite ma-terials, in the form of a traverse with a load-bearing capacity up to 3 t. The handling should be im-proved compared to the state of the art and the mass and costs should be reduced. Analytical de-signs were carried out under the semi-probabilistic safety concept, the distortion-based calculation and the determination of the proportionality limit. In experiments and practical tests of the LAM, static uniaxial loads and pulsating loads were carried out as hysteresis and step tests as well as a field test with a forklift as the transported good.
