Abstract

The operating conditions of Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) are becoming increasingly dynamic and their number in environments where people are present is constantly increasing. In order to ensure safe cooperation be-tween AGVs and people, sensor systems are required that enable the explicit recognition of people. In this paper such a safety related sensor system will be presented by means of a concept and a demonstrator.
