Abstract

Agile planning of line feeding processes increasingly becomes important. Traditional planning approaches that prerequisite a stable production setting do no longer fulfil requirements of today’s production. In order to meet these requirements, the concept of adaptive line feeding has been introduced which considers anticipated changes when configuring line feeding systems. This paper focusses on the anticipatory planning of changes within line feeding. Due to limited forecasting capabilities in dynamic environments an approach is outlined using imperfect knowledge.
