Abstract

The process of warehouse planning is usually conducted employing an immense amount of resources. The desire for an extensive softwarebased support has been present for a long time. The presented article proposes the concept of a software tool which makes use of the strengths of answer set programming to facilitate warehouse planners in a highly flexible and effective manner. The tool aims to support the tasks of process planning, technology dimensioning and selection and layout generation.
