Abstract

The automation of logistics processes is characterized by dynamic environment conditions and challenging economic requirements. There is the need for new highly flexible automation and robotic solutions, which are able to handle variable types of goods or to execute different processes and functionalities. This article presents two examples from the area of automatic container unloading and material flow systems, which are able to face these requirements.
