Abstract

The GridSorter is a decentralized controlled, modular conveyor system for efficient and space-saving sorting of goods. It can be flexibly adapted to changing requirements. In this article, we present a control algorithm which automatically detects and reacts to technical disruptions and thus enables continuous operation. The influence of defects of single modules on system performance is determined by simulation.
