Abstract

The GridSorter is a decentralized controlled, modular conveyor system for efficient and space-saving sorting of goods. It can be flexibly adapted to changing requirements. In this article, we present a new control algorithm for route reservation and execution of the carrier transport which is based on the principle of logical time. Thereby, efficient and deadlock-free system behavior is guaranteed.
