Abstract

For achieving a highly frequent material supply in smaller lot sizes in-plant milk-run systems are widely used. Due to many restrictions planning of such systems becomes a complex task. This paper provides an overview on common planning approaches for cyclic milk-run systems. Furthermore a model for generating smoothed tugger train timetables is explained.
