Abstract

Despite the great advances in the area of decentral-ized and cellular transport systems, the vast majority of today΄s material handling systems are build according to manufacturer-specific standards and their transport capabilities, operation and error handling are therefore driven by individual solutions. As a result, a integration of various systems built by different manufacturers is currently a complex task that requires a co-operation on all sides of a project. This paper presents a software platform for better supporting the collaboration between partners at planning and integrating material flow systems in the field of facility logistics.
