Abstract

The article describes the analysis of the dynamic stability of straddle carriers. Therefore a straddle carrier of practical relevance was analyzed and displayed in a multi-body simulation model. The validation of the model was based on measuring rides on the real system. From simulation studies, technical improvement measures were derived, which improve the dynamic stability of portal lift trucks.
