Cyber-physical production systems (CPPS) allow the realization of dynamic production areas with scalable modules. One of the main problems is the cross-company integration of such systems. The technology of the blockchain (BC) offers great potential for this purpose. Due to the large number of possible implementations, however, a test environment is needed to investigate and develop suitable solutions. In this paper the necessary prerequisites are analyzed. Furthermore, a suitable test environment including the technical equipment and the decentralized selfcontrol method of a CPPS is presented. This will enable the investigation of BC-based CPPS in the future.Published
