The automation of logistic processes is a key element in the development of the future project "Industry 4.0". The degree of automation of the commissioning process is still very low, in contrast to other divisions such as production. This is attributable to its high complexity, which is due to the grasping of various objects in different operational environments. The present paper deals with the identification of a market gap for a flexible, fully automatic picking robot and its first development steps. The mechanical components as well as image processing and control are discussed.Downloads
