Due to the increasing degree of automation in the field of production and logistics the demand to integrate humans into the work process is continuously growing. High volume of information and greater dynamics require a flexible interaction of the employee with systems in his surrounding environment. To fulfill this requirement new concepts for the humanmachine-interaction have to be created. These concepts have to be guided by modern and intuitive methods for visualization of information. Concerning this issue the Fraunhofer IML has conducted a study to investigate how the packaging process can be improved by applying Augmented Reality using smart glasses.Downloads
