Abstract

For the feeding and removing of objects like parts, assemblies or finished products overhead conveyors are used in a lot of branches. The advantage of these systems is the free space below. Especially in use of chains or fixed link-ages, as connective link between the hangers the mass fraction of permanent moving rate is raising. The target is to lower the weight of the tension member. In this connection the use of hm/ht synthetic fibers based on high performance ropes is possible. At the same load capacity this materials have a total mass at 15-20 % of the components made out of steel. To guarantee the use all of the peripheral equipment has to be adapted.
