The mass of a counterbalanced forklift truck affects the energy consumption significantly due to the rolling resistance. The climate change in the past decades led to increased environmental awareness. At the same time rising energy costs make entrepreneur to invest in more energy efficient solutions which led to new trends in logistics. Reduced mass of a fork lift will provide more energy-efficient products. This feasibility study shall show that a forklift equipped with an active stability system can provide sufficient dynamic stability by lower overall mass. In this paper methodical approach of this project will be presented.Downloads
