Abstract

Originally, the design of assembly systems in the form of flow systems targeted onto a uniformly high quantity of a single product with a high degree of automation. For reasons such as ever-increasing de-mands by customer requests or demand fluctuation the assembly processes are continually adjust to changing circumstances. In this context, factors such as flexibility, higher availability and system utilizations, energy efficiency and cost gain in importance. The configuration and planning of flow assembly systems is usually curried out by the decomposition of the planning problem into small sub-problems that are solved by different planning measures or systematic planning steps. In accordance with the above instructions, also only one part of the factors is listed that leads in today's perspective to changed (complementary) objectives. This paper will make these changes comprehensible by representation of a meaningful goal-oriented catalogue of objectives and its comparison with the scientific literature.
