Abstract

During the last years energy efficiency and effectiveness of conveying systems attract reasonable notice to producers and users. Within the scope of a system comparison between magnetically excited and energized piezo-vibrating conveyors these aspects were investi-gated at Fraunhofer Institute for Material flow and Logistics IML. Results are the main advantages and drawbacks of each type of drive. Concerning the system design and optimization these results assists to find a solution which meets the given requirements within a logistical field of application.
