Environmental product declarations present the results of life cycle assessments of products. Greenhouse gas emissions, acidification potentials and resource consumption are calculated over a potential life cycle. The aim is to be able to compare and select functionally equivalent products with regard to their environmental preferability. In addition to the selection of a suitable functional unit, the definition of so-called assessment rules within the framework of a PCR (product category rule) is essential. The influence of the selected parameters on the results is checked within the scope of a sensitivity analysis. This can be part of LCA and is made available to the stakeholders in the background report of a PCR. The implementation and results of the sensitivity analysis for the life cycle assessment of continuous conveyors are discussed and evaluated below.Downloads
